Protein pancakes

Jenny Bäcklin

Pancakes are not a food you associate with protein. They are a food you associate with Saturday, butter, and sharing with your loved ones. Delicious. But if you're already whisking – why not seize the opportunity?

Two scoops of POW protein powder in the batter make this a meal that will keep you fuller. Choose a flavor to match your mood, as the possibilities are virtually endless. Here's our friend Annika's recipe.

INGREDIENTS

3 dl all-purpose flour
6 dl milk of your choice
1 dl water
5-6 eggs
2 scoops of POW protein powder; Whey unflavored, whey coffee, vanilla casein, chocolate casein or vegan chocolate – all work!
3-5 g POW creatine for an extra boost

DIRECTIONS:

Whisk together flour, eggs, and half of the milk until smooth and lump-free. Add the remaining milk, water, and protein powder and whisk again. Let the batter rest for 10–15 minutes.

Fry thin pancakes over medium heat in a little butter/oil until golden brown on both sides.

Top with what you like – berries, maple syrup, peanut butter, or why not our protein fluff? The pancake batter keeps in the fridge until the next day, if there's any left...
