They are salty, sweet, chewy, crispy and covered in chocolate... and make the store-bought bars look like pure nonsense.
Ingredients:
Medjool dates
Peanut butter
Unflavored whey protein
Maple syrup
Chocolate
Peanuts (chopped)
Flake salt
Instructions:
1. Pit the dates and spread them out on baking paper. Flatten/press them together as shown in the video.
2. Slightly warm the peanut butter in the microwave, then mix in a little protein powder at a time until you reach a dough-like consistency. Add a little maple syrup for extra caramel flavor and so that the dough doesn't get too thick.
Then press the mixture evenly over the dates.
3. Melt the chocolate in the microwave and pour over as the next layer.
4. Chop peanuts and sprinkle over.
5. Sprinkle with a little flake salt.
6. Freeze for at least 1 hour before cutting into squares.
